Idaho Rural Water Association offers training classes for drinking water and wastewater utility operations specialists as well as for other related industry professionals such as utility boards members, elected officials, clerks, and managers.  Unless otherwise specified all classes have been approved or are pending approval for drinking water or wastewater CEUs (Continuing Education Units) by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) - formerly IBOL.

Idaho Rural Water Association is excited to partner with the Pacific Northwest OSHA Education Center to bring you this safety training! This one-day class will be the OSHA 7410 course “Managing Excavation/Trenching Operations".

Course topics include the following: 

* Understanding and application of definitions relating to the OSHA Excavation Standard

* Identification of excavation hazards and control measures 

* Soil analysis techniques 

* Protective system requirements 

* Emergency response 

* Duties of a competent person in excavation work

CEUs Earned: 0.65 DW/WW
