Idaho Rural Water Association offers training classes for drinking water and wastewater utility operations specialists as well as for other related industry professionals such as utility boards members, elected officials, clerks, and managers.  Unless otherwise specified all classes have been approved or are pending approval for drinking water or wastewater CEUs (Continuing Education Units) by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) - formerly IBOL.

This class is great for both veteran and beginning operators to review sampling regulations and practices. Relevant regulations that operators must abide by will be covered. Sampling procedure, common errors, and tips for success will be discussed. Information provided will include sampling for bacteria, organics, inorganics, lead and copper, TTHM and HAA5s, and radionuclides. The instructor will also cover the latest information on the emerging contaminant PFAS.

Please note: This class is approved for 0.6 Distribution credits and 0.6 Treatment credits that are appropriate for Very Small Water System Operators.
