Ordinances
Ordinances are your utility’s tool to protect itself from costly or unsafe behavior. However, an ordinance will not be useful unless you take actions to enforce it. Do not pass an ordinances unless you have a program in place to carry it out in your community. Otherwise it will be useless. Below are some common ordinances that drinking water and wastewater utilities can benefit from.
